Description Colour (in alcohol): disc greyish-brown, the arms distinctly banded with rusty brown; the arm spines somewhat spotted. Similar spots are sometimes found on the upper arm plates (Balinsky, 1957).
According to Clark & Rowe (1971), O. lymani has only been recorded from the Atlantic (West Indies, West Africa and St; Helena), so the record from Inhaca Island (Mozambique) in Balinsky (1957) needs verification. [details]

According to Rowe & Gates, 1995 O. lymani may prove to be conspecific with O. macrolepidota Marktanner-Turneretscher, 1887. [details]
