Synonymy Since this concerns the typical subspecies of Plakina trilopha it has to be renamed Plakina trilopha ssp. trilopha. The only other subspecies, Plakina trilopha antarctica is raised to species status, which leads to the conclusion that the nominal subspecies is a junior synonym of the species P.trilopha. [details]
