Authority Similarly, authorship of the Cemocotylidae is herein assigned to Price (1962), who proposed the taxon as a subfamily of the Heteraxinidae Price, 1962. Although Yamaguti (1963) was the first to raise the taxon to family status while labeling his action ‘‘Cemocotylidae n. fam.’’, credit to Yamaguti (1963) for the Cemocotylidae as indicated by Mamaev and Lebedev (1977, 1979) and subsequent authors is also erroneous.
