Taxonomy Phyllobothrium minutum Williams, 1968 and Phyllobothrium minutum Shipley & Hornell, 1906 : both names are correct. Williams erected the name minutum fully aware that it had been used by Shipley & Hornell, indicating, but not actually stating, that Shipley & Hornell's species was probably a synonym of Crossobothrium angustum Linton, 1924. Ruhnke's (1996) review of Crossobothrium doesn't mention it. Williams species should probably be renamed, but I cannot find a record of it happening. [details]
