Description Wiesnerella auriculata (Egger, 1893) 
1a) lateral-apertural view - aperture - large circular opening bordered by the expanded, everted, and flattened lip; 1b) edge view - test compressed - the lip is in contact with the test´s wall; 1c) lateral-aboral view of the same specimen. 2 and 3) lateral-apertural view of distinct specimens under optical microscopy. 4a) lateral-apertural view, and 4b) edge view of a specimen with the aperture and lip that do not touch the lateral wall. 5a) lateral-apertural view, and 5b) edge view of a specimen with an elliptical aperture and a flattened lip touching the lateral wall. 6) lateral view of a specimen with a circular opening facing upwards.
