Description Tropical Indian and Pacific Oceans. Body translucent, without coloration. Pelvic fins jugular. No pharyngeal sacs. Dorsal fin with the anterior portion having 10-12 short spines and 22-27 longer soft rays posteriorly. Anal fin lacking spines; soft rays 28-32. Pectoral fin rays 17-19. With 45-47 vertebrae. Known only from larvae and juveniles, largest specimen only 12 cm SL.  [details]
