Description This species has phacellloid corallites up to 4 cm across. They are mostly monocentric to tri-centric, due to intratentacular budding. Tentacles are always extended during the day, and have distinctive, kidney shaped tips. Euphyllia ancora has similar tentacles, but the calices are meandroid, not mono- to tri-centric.
