Comparison From the most similar Coryphyllia it differs, primarily, in having zigzag mid-septal zone and lateral stereome organized into thick lateral fascicles of fibres provided with axis, and also in a lack of short septa of the lonsdaleoid type. [details]

Description Described and figured in Frech, 1890; microstructure described in Cuif 1975 and Roniewicz 1989:39-41, pl.6,fig.2-4. [details]

Diagnosis Solitary with epithecal, pellicular wall. Radial elements costoseptal. Mid-septal zone zigzag. Whole lateral septal stereome organized into well delimited fascicles of fibres provided with axis. Lateral septal micromorphology granular. Dissepiments small, vesicular, abundant. [details]

Remark Type species re-described in Roniewicz 1989:39, with discussion on distichophyllid type of septal microstructure; additional descriptions of other species in Roniewicz 1996:25. Six species known from the Norian and Rhaetian. [details]

Status In earlier literature described as Montlivaltia Lamouroux [details]
