Synonymy Currently, all species around Epitonium (Clathrus) are classified in Epitonium. It is not sure that this is correct, the type species of Epitonium being a large Chinese species once higlhy prized by collectors, and quite different. Nevertheless, this is - at the moment - the state of the art. Further research may indeed bring Clathrus as a valid subgenus or genus. [details]
