Authority The authority of the name in most (not to say all) literature is given as Euryleptidae Lang, 1884. However, the name is introduced as a family by Stimpson (1857). In 1884, Lang splits the familiy into two: Euryleptidae and Pseudocerotidae, and in the two cases states "mihi" ("by me"). He, however, in the same work discusses Stimpson's Euryleptidae extensively (p. 413–414). Following the rules of ICZN the only correct authority for the name Euryleptidae is Stimpson, 1857. [details]
