Description P. овоидная, инвол., внешн. об. могут быть эвол., навивание внешн. об. спир.-плоск, или почти спир.-плоск.; боковые утолщения четкие; ст. р. двухслойная с четким темным слоем; основание к. выпуклое. Видов более 15. Н. карбон (визе-Серпухов), (башкир?); Евразия, С. Ам., С. Африка.
Test ovoid, involute, the outer whorls can be evolute, the coiling of the outer whorls is planospiral, or nearly planospiral; lateral thickenings are distinct; the wall is two-layered with a distinct dark layer; chamber floor is convex. There are more than 15 species. Lower Carboniferous (Visean-Serpukhovian), (Bashkirian?); Eurasia, North America, North Africa.
