Description Description: Medium to large Endothyridae with strong supplementary deposits, and rapid deviations of axis. Last hemiwhorl often semi-evolute. Wall bilayered with a black, thin tectum and a thick, grey inner layer, finely perforated if well preserved (Reitlinger, 1950, pl. 1, fig. 2; Rauzer-Chernousova & Fursenko, 1959, pl. 4, fig. 13AB; Aizenverg et al., 1968, pl. 9, figs 1-3; Maslov, 1973, pl. 25, fig. 5; Pille, 2008).
Occurrence: FAD possibly in the MFZ6 of South China (Hance et al., 2011). Late Ivorian of Belgium (MFZ7). Early Visean to early Serpukhovian (acme in the late Visean); Paleotethyan (including Thailand and Sumatra). Up to the base of early Serpukhovian of the Subpolar Urals (Kossovaya et al., 2001) and the base of middle Serpukhovian of Tien Shan (Orlov- Labkovsky, 2005). Protvian-earliest Bogdanovian of the southern Urals (Kulagina et al., 2001; Pazukhin et al., 2002), Alaska (Mamet et al., 1993), and ?Japan (Mizuno & Ueno, 1997, pl. 4, fig. 8). Early Bashkirian of Uzbekistan (Rumyantseva, 1970, pl. 3, fig. 8). Bashkirian of Spitsbergen (Sosipatrova, 1978, pl. 3, figs 15, 16) and Siberia (Bogush et al., 1975, p. 27).
