Diagnosis Test elongate ovate, 9 µm to 25 µm in length, resembling Microcometes but with only two apertures at opposite ends of the ovate test and elevated on short cylindrical necks; wall membranous, with ferruginous coating; granular cytoplasm only partly filling test, with numerous granules and contractile vacuoles, pseudopodia very thin, elongate, bifurcating, and anastomosing.
