Description
Definition of primary spines: a. "Basal discs" are developed at the base of the shaft being restricted usually to the adapical side and directed towards the centre of the test. b. "Terminal discs" are developed more or less as discs with smooth or indented margins at the distal end of the adapical spines: a. and b. Goniocidaris (Aspidocidaris) parasol.
