Status The holotype is a fragmentary specimen, which clearly belongs to the family Loveniidae, but apparently lacks diagnostic characters allowing firm generic placement. While the attribution to Lovenia seems likely, it could theoretically also belong to either Hemipatagus or Breynia. The holotype needs to be re-examined to check for the presence of peripetalous and/or internal fasciole bands. [details]

Original description Differs from its nearest relative L. hemphilli Israelsky in its smaller size and the width of the row of paired ambulacral pores being about half the width of the interspace, while each umbo has only a single rim not a double one. [details]

Status The holotype is a fragmentary specimen, which clearly belongs to the family Loveniidae, but apparently lacks diagnostic characters allowing firm generic placement.
