Diagnosis A tall species of Stomechinus with subconical profile and flat base; ambitus close to the base. Apical disc hemicyclic. Aboral interambulacral plates high with a small primary tubercle that lies far removed from both oral and apical sutures; remainder of plate with small, uniform, tertiary tubercles, widely spaced and slightly incised. Primary tubercles smallest at ambitus and increase in size adapically. Adoral interambulacral plates with three or four subequal tubercles; no secondary tubercles above ambitus. Phyllodes well developed adorally. [details]
