Description Aboral side: Around one side of the test the spines are distinctly shorter than on the other side. The animal sits in its crevice with the short spines to the wall, the long ones directed to the open.
Diameter of test 45 mm, longest spine 36 mm; Shizuoka, Central Japan, Pacific.
