Traits talk:Copepodid

Copepodid (or copepodite) seem to be interchangeable terms, depending on the region in which the study is undertaken.

The individual stages are often numbered I-V, or I-VI, or as CI to CVI. Do we need to include each of the different stages here. As a trait - the two forms of larval stage, that is the nauplius followed by the copepodid stage are clearly functionally different. But are the separate copepodid stages functionally distinct? For example do they feed differently or on distinctly different food types.

Please advise. H
