Taxonomy Hartman (1957) comments on Aricidea fragilis, sensu Fauvel (1936) (Non A. fragilis Webster, 1879) on p. 317, indicating it is a new species. On p. 318 she names "Aricidea fauveli, new name", reproducing the Fauvel chaetal figure. It is almost certain from the context that she never saw Fauvel's specimens. [details]
