(1): introduction signed August 1852. In Zeitschrift für Malakozoologie 9(8): 122 [= July 1852] the following was stated: “in meiner bereits bis zum 18ten Bogen gedruckten Monographia Pneumonopomorum” [in my Monographia Pneumonopomorum, printed already up to the 18th signature]. The introduction was thus written at the end of the printing process. We have not found any evidence that the work was delivered in parts to the outside world (only to Pfeiffer for proofreading). Remark (2): mentioned in Börsenblatt für den Deutschen Buchhandlung und die mit ihm verwandten Geschäftszweige Nr. 106 (15 October 1852) page 1517.
