Taxonomy This combination, a replacement name for Halichondria panicea sensu Little (1963) (not sensu Pallas, 1766), is a junior homonym of Halichondria corrugata Bowerbank, 1866: 242. Despite the fact that the latter has been assigned to Mycale by Burton (1930c: 518) the primary homonymy demands that a new name is to be proposed for Little's material. [details]
