Status The two varieties named by Dendy (1905) and Hentschel (1912) are apparently different from the (unnamed ) typical variety. However, the varieties are probably merely different in growth form, not in other features. The ICZN does not consider varieties to be valid taxa, so it has to be decided whether Dendy's (1905) and Hentschel's varieties need to be distinguished as separate taxa. [details]
