Notes		Van Soest (2002: 228) misquoted the type species as Ancorina adriatica, but it is Aaptos adriatica. [details] The gender of Aaptos is not clear. Aaptos is a Greek adjective meaning 'strong'. The ending suggests it is masculine, but Gray erected it for type species Aaptos adriatica which has a female ending. [details] Habitat: Known from seamounts and knolls [details]
