Habitat Often occurs in sheltered bay and estuarine situations where salinity levels are high, in muddy substrates and often is associated with species of Posidonia and Zostera seagrasses. The species can occur in extremely high densities (Warren et al. 1994) [details]
Type locality Merimbula, seaward side of bridge, NSW, Australia, 36°54'S 149°53'E. The geolocation appears to be generic for Late Merimbula [details]
