Diagnosis Salazar-Silva (2013) "Halosydna salazarvallejoi sp. nov. resembles H. silvamariae sp. nov. but differs in having a fringe of marginal papillae on the anterior elytra and soft macrotubercles less prominent and scattered on the elytral surface." The two holotypes were collected from the same benthic station.
