Habitat On sandflats in mangroves, dead coral substrate, in fine sediment at foot of reef slope, in strapleaved seagrass beds, and sediments trapped in algae. [details]
Nomenclature Pionosyllis hartmannschroederae San Martín & Hutchings, 2006 is a replacement name for Typosyllis (Langerhansia) longisetosa Hartmann-Schröder, 1990. This species becomes a secondary homonym of Pionosyllis longisetosa (Hartmann-Schröder, 1965) with its transfer to the genus Pionosyllis with base on the study by San Martín & Hutchings (2006). Type locality Australia, Queensland, Brisbane, Redcliffe Point (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. -27.231º, long. 153.119º), eulittoral algal beds with sediment. The type locality in San Martín & Hutchings (2006: 330) is erroneously stated as: Australia, New South Wales, Angourine Point (29º29'S, 152º22'E). [details]
