Etymology Named for Bay of Biscay [details]
Type locality Tharon Plage, outer Loire Estuary, Bay of Biscay, France, shoreline (by gazeteer) at ca 47° 9' 57.48 N, 2° 10' 8.03 W (47.1659, -2.1689). Authors give 47°17’N, 2°16’E as the type locality, but this would be inland in the middle of France (E/W error) and if the E/W is simply reversed the location is still a little astray inland and north of the beach. The coordinates for the town itself are 47° 09′ 52″ Nord 2° 09′ 46″ Ouest [fide fr.wikipedia.org] [details]
