Etymology The specific epithet giuseppemagninoi derives from Giuseppe Magnino, who collected the material and studied the ecology of the different populations and their relationships with the host sponges, and to whom the species is dedicated. [details]
Habitat The species lives inside the sponge Liosina paradoxa Thiele, 1899. [details]
Type locality Tanzania, near Bagamoyo, in a wide reef inlet with abundat mangroves (geocoordinates not provided, but estimated with gazetteer to be lat. -6.475392º, long. 39.012908º). [details]
