Etymology Pseudopolydora floridensis is named for the geographic area. [details]

Habitat Although the author has no comments on the salinity regime of the type locality it must be estuarine brackish as it is in Lake Worth Lagoon, a barrier estuary behind the sea beach (see distribution map). A source of confusion is that the area is also called Lake Worth. The author only states for habitat: "muddy-sand tubes in soft bottoms" [details]
