Etymology The specific epithet molesta "refers to the perfectly ordinary characters of the species whcih made its study a burden" (Banse, 1972: 203). Molesta is the feminine of molestus, the Latin word for 'troublesome' or 'annoying'. [details]

Holotype Complete specimen (USNM 42012) with 35 chaetigers, 2.5 mm long, almost 0.2 mm wide without parapodia, and almost 0.3 mm with parapodia. [details]
