Etymology The specific epithet longisetosa is composed by the Latin prefix long-, meaning 'long', and the Latin adjective setosa, feminine of setosus and meaning 'bristly' or 'having chaetae', and seems to refer to the long falcigerous blades of the composed chaetae of the species. [details]
Habitat Silt and fine sand, with stones, dead algae and detritus, at subtidal to shelf depths. [details]
Type locality Quedal, Chile, Southeast Pacific Ocean (-40.9º, -74.0683º), soft silt with little fine sand and many detritus, 176 m. [details]
