Etymology Not stated. The specific epithet dorsolobata is composed by the Latin noun dorso, a form of dorsum and meaning 'back', and the latinized Greek adjective lobata, meaning 'lobed', and refers presumably to the great development that the dorsal notopodial ligule undergoes at about chaetiger 30, becoming about twice as longer as the parapodium.
