Editor's comment The collecting data of Eurythoe hedenborgi given by Kinberg (1857: 13) is ''D. Hedenborg, 1827''. Dr. Johan Hedenborg was appointed as the physician of the Swedish embassy in Constantinople in 1825, where he stayed until 1830, when he travelled farther south to Egypt. This way, the species was probably collected in the Mediterranean Sea, as already stated by Hartman (1959: 133), more precisely in the Eastern Mediterranean, in the vicinity of Constantinople, today Istanbul, Turkey.
