Spelling Costa 1841 used an informal French spelling as 'Lophonote' and the formal Latin spelling of 'Lophonota' in the bionominal. However, in Costa (1862: 32) he gives a misspelling of 'Lophonota' as 'Lophonotus' in a species list. This would be a junior homonym, but as it is a misspelling of the original there is not a problem. [details]
