Nomenclature Chaetobranchus Verrill, 1873 is a junior homonym to Chaetobranchus Heckel, 1840 (Pisces, Cichlidae). Thus Verrill 1879, in a checklist (dubiously available as a publication) replaced Chaetobranchus with Enoplobranchus, without explanation. Hartman (1942:76) explains further [details]
