Status Bick & Armendáriz, (2021: 198) state that there are "no differences between Brandtika and Monroika, but there is one important shared character. Therefore, it is suggested here that B. asiatica should possibly be assigned to Monroika. This is not formally done here, because the characters of the radiolar crown are not known in Brandtika." Taxonomy Fitzhugh (1989) noted that Brandtika Jones, 1974b, was described from dried material and most features of the branchial crown are unknown. [details]
