Distribution: Labrador to Maine, including Cobscook Bay; North Japan Sea; Finland [details]
Habitat: Found from the intertidal zone to 55 m depth underneath rocks and boulder. [details]
Taxonomy: Subfamily: Eusyllinae, according to Trott (2004). [details]
Validity: Among Amblyosyllis, only A. formosa and A. madeirensis are clearly valid, all the other species (apart for A. rhombeata Grube, 1857) are probably synonyms of these two. [details]
