Van Beneden; de Selys Longchamps (1913, fig. F) Description: F. Colella racovitzai, synoniem van Sycozoa gaimardi. Vergroting: x50. Een gecombineerde figuur van een reeks van sagittale sneden. Deze toont tegelijkertijd een vrouwelijke ascidiozoide vanaf de rechterzijde, samen met een deels optische doorsnede. Merk de cloacale opening op, die zeer laag komt aan de kant, waardoor de kieuw onbeschermd komt te staan. Zie ook de eileider, die opent door een opening voorzien van trilhaar, aan de onderkant van de broedzak, onderliggend aan de anale lingula (= tongvormige aanhangsels). Author: E.
