The two families Eridoconchidae and Cryptophyllidae established by ADAMCZAK and belonging to the Eridostraca ADAMCZAK, 1961, are distinguished by the present author on the basis of presence or missing of an adventral structure. This is in accordance with LEVINSON 1961, but in contrast to ADAMCZAK. Funhermore, in the author's view, also the Conchoprimitiidae belong to the Eridostraca. The evolution within the Eridostraca seems to have followed a trend from uni- to multilamellar forms. In so far, the Conchoprimitiidae represent the most primitive Eridostraca. The ancestors of the Eridostraca are to be sought presumably among non-dimorphic Beyrichicopida (= Palaeocopida). Two new genera are established,
