Notes  Description: Description: as for A. integer, but differs in arrangement of disc scales and shape of the arm plates. Richmond, 1997. Disc covered by imbricating plates forming a distinct border along the margin; one infradental and three lateral papillae on each side of the jaw; dorsal arm plates broader than long, distal margin convex; three pointed lateral arm spines; two tentacle scales (Sastry, 1995).
General distribution: tropical, west Pacific Ocean (also western indian Ocean), depth range 0-7 m. (Rowe & Gates, 1995); Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal (Sastry, 1995).
Also distributed in SE Arabia and Persian Gulf (Clark & Rowe, 1971); Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
Ecology: benthic, inshore, continental shelf (Rowe & Gates, 1995). [details]
