Description Colour: Disc scales and radial shields blue with white border. Description: dorsal disc scales naked; ventral and marginally, disc with stumps. Aboral arm plates twice as broad as long, a transverse median blue line bordered by white lines. Oral arm plates with a median blue longitudinal line with lateral pale lines. Arm spines as long as the bredth of the segment, second or third from above the longest (Sastry, 1997).
Also distributed in Ceylon, Bay of Bengal, East Indies, north Australia, Philippine, China, south Japan and South Pacific Is. (Clark & Rowe, 1971); Lakshadweep (India) in Sastry (1991); Andaman Is. (Sastry, 1997).
General distribution: from East Africa to Polynesia (Tortonese, 1980); East coast of Africa to South Pacific Islands (Sastry, 1991). [details]
