As a contribution to the study of the marine fauna of Somalia, which is still poorly known, 59 species of littoral Echinoderms are reported. They were recently collected in four localities (Mogadiscio, Gesira, Sar uanle, Bender Mtoni), in different ecological situations. Two species of Ophiuroids (Amphioplus somaliensis and A. minutus) are described as new. Several others of each class require comments on their variability, taxonomy and distribution.
