Habitat Littoral zone at or below high water mark. Rock crevices, etc. Not easy to find and probably rather under-recorded.
In the Mediterranean it is described as from under stranded remains of Posidonia and near brackish marshes (Zapparoli, 2002).
In Bermuda it is found in the upper intertidal and lower supra-littoral rgion, in porous stone & in crevices but is difficult to find & extract (Sterrer, 1986) [details]
