Diagnosis Bythotiaridae without apical projection, marginal bulbs absent; two kinds of tentacles, long, hollow tentacles with scattered nematocysts and a small terminal knob, and short, solid ones without a terminal knob, basal portion of tentacles usually adnate to exumbrella; four unbranched radial canals very broad, without centripetal canal; without gastric peduncle, mouth simple, circular; gonads on manubrial wall, simple no transverse folds; no ocelli. [details]
