Holotype HVH 79, Eocene, Claiborne, Cook Mountain Fm.; “from Sample No. 61,” (JH-62): “Calcareous fossiliferous clay containing lenses and stringers of glauconite. Taken in ditch 18 inches above base of slope leading down to Couley Creek along dirt road in the SE¼ NE¼ NE¼ NE¼ sec. 22, T. 10 N., R. 5 W. Elevation—125 feet.” Winn Parish, Louisiana.
