Authority The author of Nummulina radiata is Montfort, 1808 who gave the new name Rotalites radiatus to Nautilus lenticularis var. alpha Fichtel & Moll, 1798.
The new combination Nummulina radiata had already been used by d'Orbigny in 1826 (p. 296, n° 6) with the authority Montfort.  [details]

Synonymy Papp and Schmid (1984) comment: "Vial 82 contains only specimens of Amphistegina.
The opinion of d'ORBiGNY cannot be upheld; furthermore, the occurrence of a nummulite in the Vienna Basin would not be expected."
Papp and Schmid therefore put this species into synonymy with Amphistegina hauerina d'Orbigny, 1846. [details]
