Diagnosis Test discoidal, up to 1.5 mm in diameter, subspherical proloculus followed by gradually enlarging, undivided tubular second chamber of up to fifteen planispirally enrolled and evolute whorls, additional lamellae added over the earlier part of the test with each successive whorl, resulting in a thickened umbo in which the spiral suture is obscured, later whorls increasing more rapidly in height, so that additional wall layers are added more slowly, outer part of the test is thinner and the spiral suture more distinct; wall calcareous, porcelaneous; aperture at the open end of the tube.
