Diagnosis Original diagnosis: "Test fusiform ; nucleoconch staffelloid, symmetrical ; wall composed of tectum, diaphanotheca which is finely alveolar, 10 alveoli in 0.060 to 0.100 mm., seen only in favorable sections, with thin outer and inner tectoria ; septal fluting strong ; chomata strong ; axial filling absent ; septal pores absent to common ; tunnel prominent ; aperture probably absent. Length, up to 10 mm. — Middle Pennsylvanian" [details]
