Diagnosis Test large, planispiral, and involute, rarely uncoiling in the adult; septa thick and massive; wall coarsely microgranular, with a tendency to recrystallize, thick and finely perforate in geologically later forms, supplementary deposits as chomata and parachomata; aperture simple, basal, rarely cribrate.
