Diagnosis Test spherical to irregularly rounded; wall calcareol,ls, thick, of two layers, a thin dark compact, dense inner layer and a thick gray friable outer layer; wall pierced by canals that lead to the exterior and may open in small moundlike elevations but do not appear to communicate with the inner cavity.
